Got to laugh at old Taggart of Trafford.

So, Fergie Jnr gets sacked from Preston so what does he do? He says, right, i want the 3 loan players back right now, this instant!!!
2 go back, one seems to be slightly more litigious but gotta laugh

Seems to make sense to me too.
Maybe the OP can expand on what he seems is the problem.

Well for a start, it shows that jnr is not good enough to stand on his own 2 feet. He gets a job where his dad is very close friends with board members, then gets preferential from his dad to take 3 loan players. I wonder would current manager, David Unsworth get them had jnr not been there, you know a clean slate? Didn't Beckham go there for a while?
See, reading the stories, it seems Taggart is good friends with senior board member(s) of Preston hence the recent loan players over the years but cos jnr has took them to the bottom of The Championship, proving once more he's just relying on his dad's name and reputation.
So, he gets sacked and not my word but the press a, "vengeful" manager takes his players back and, lets face it, they're not gonna be playing any time soon at OT are they?
Protecting his son is one thing, being downright spiteful and childish.....well, perhaps he won't speak to me now either lol

Interesting comment from the article in The Guardian

All three have told Preston they would rather stay but Ferguson has ordered them back despite being aware that Preston's very future is at risk if they are relegated.

He has got to be the most childish man in Britain.

Doesn't talk to the BBC because they dared to have a go at his other son and now this.

Darren was an ordinary player (yet still managed to play for Daddy) and is now proven to be a poor manager.

I hope Fungusmoan is going to pay the players' wages himself as he seems to decide everything that goes on at Old Trafford.

Have to agree but those players have obviously not helped Preston much as they are still bottom of the league.
I hope Preston stay up just to prove that his BOY is a carp manager.

Maybe that's why he's the best manager in England :-/

Fergie Jr did a fair job at Posh for a couple of years but we had a much better class of players for the lower leagues and he got found out when we got to the Championship..........as Preston have also found out now. X)

That's embarrassing. Are you 6?

Leave Fergie alone, it's his birthday today.

I normally think he's a bit of a **** ... but not today
#13
He should not be letting personal things cloud his professional decisions. It was either a good move for his youngsters or it wasn't. What a ****

Bit sad though that he wants to tarnish himself and impede the developments and experience of his younger players due to a petty tantrum because his son wasn't up to the job at Preston.

If i was one of those players then i'd be knocking his door down to leave knowing that my career was of so little importance to him.

It shows how pathetic it is to call him "Sir Alex" etc.
I see Graham McDowell (sp?) now has an MBE (along with a load of others). A bit of a joke really.
#17
as per the song. 'We're Man United, we'll do what we want'

Just heard Stoke have also recalled their players from loan at Preston. Suppose that's Fergies doing as well eh? :|

I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Apparently they all wanted to stay there.

Extremely childish, guess we can't expect brain surgeons to be the decision makers in football though.

You are right, you cant. How many brain surgeons do you know that can boast 46 trophies as a manager.

Alex is fab.

Seems fair enough to me.

If someone sacked your son from a job would you still want your employees helping that company? I think not.

Don't see what the big deal is to be honest, Their contracts expired on 4th of January anyway.

Fergie has every right to support his son, You'd support yours wouldn't you?.

Yeah, i'm sure there's plenty of players that would be knocking on Sir Alex's door to leave Man Utd.

To be fair, Preston were quite happy to get players they'd have never normally got because of the united connection

I don't see the problem... if, say, you lent a portable tv to your brother who was going to, say, Preston university, he subsequently gets booted out of uni (for not getting enough grades) but his room mate is still using the tv even though he's come home. You'd want your tv back, won't you?! :P
#30
Scum have always loaned players to Preston, contracts expired in Jan anyway and I suppose I'd have done the same.

The players clearly didn't have an impact anyway! I'd have given him more time, too many rash sackings in football. With the transfer window limited to twice a year it makes buying/selling and making your own squad as a manager difficult, if anything it takes longer to assemble the squad you want as a manager and the clubs/fans give them less time to get it right!!

This has NOTHING to do with the fact that Darren Ferguson is the manager who's lost the job.

Ferguson sends players out on loan. He loans them to managers, on strict terms as to how they will be played/treated/groomed into future first team Utd players.

It makes perfect sense for them to come back, United lent the players to a Manager, who is now no longer going to be the person 'looking after' the players. Ferguson doesn't know who will be the next manager, and how they will deal with his players, so in the event of unclear horizons, he brings them home.

Stoke City recalled Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh. And Tony Pulis isn't Darren's dad.

Fergusson had a fantastic youth side that all matured at the same time and some decent assistant managers. Best manager in the world... No.

He's a liabilty in the transfer market... remind me again how much man u spent on keepers to replace schmiechal (spelling)?
#36
If the players were any good to begin with then they wouldn't be bottom of the league and he wouldn't have lost his job in the first place. So i would be having words with the old man if i was him. :p

I'm not sticking up for either of you but name a manager that has stayed at one club for longer or has won more trophies?...

Points not relevant. Didn't ask who has achieved most with one club, that would indeed be fergie. He said who is the best manager in the world? Meaning here and now. so is indeed an opinion. So don't try and be clever when you have not understood the question asked.
