think it was 24.99 at morrisons but not 100% on that

they held off releasing prices and then all undercut each other

Think 10 was price you quoted last year ( around £25.00) & many stores followed
so expecting 11 to be around the same price

Morrisons were £25 last year, £36.99 this year or £27.99 If you buy anothe chart game
#8
I hope they have another price war, last year i went to tesco at midnight and i got it £26 :)
#9
Pre-ordered mine at the desk in Asda. Have 3 days to pick it up after launch day so if it's £25 or thereabouts I'll be happy and wander into the store lunchtime on Saturday. If they sell it for £40 I'll just have to look elsewhere.
#10
I played the demo and honestly wasn't impressed by it tbh.
#11
everyone to their own opinion, where as i played the PES and thought it is still nowhere near FIFAs class

That's a rubbish deal. Hopefully the supermarkets will repeat last year.

Here are the latest prices/rumours on a price war for Fifa 11!

Morrissons
Morrisons doing it for £27.99 apparently, few people have rang them and they confirmed it. Also rumoured that it will be this price if you buy another chart game.

Asda
Some are saying that it will be 24.99, most likely will price match the other supermarkets.

Tesco.
Again some people are saying 24.99 but there is no evidence and and Tesco will certainly price match.

Sainsburys
Heard shouts of 34.99, most likely to drop if other supermarkets do.

Feel free to post your own updates and information and I will also update accordingly.

We should have 100% more or less information on Thursday so just keep up to date with the thread!
#15
looking forward to release do the supermarkets sell it at midnight
#16

my local tesco was only allowing 1 copy per customer for each console :(
#18
Cant wait. Gives something to look forward to.

Hopefully for once Sainsburys join in and drop the price along with the other supermarkets. Match there prices.
#19
I've already said that it's £36.99 in morrisons, £27 if you buy a chart game, that's the confirmed prices.
#20
Asda and Tesco both done it for £25(ish) last year

Yeah no offense, but I'm not gonna take your word for it, especially as I used to work for the big M, and although it was a long time ago, there would be no way back then for you to know the prices this far in advance.

Like I said - you may be right, but I'm just not gonna take your word for it.

sainsburys £34.97 or £24.97 when you spend £30 instore (excluding the game price and the usual gift cards and petrol)
so you are not limited to a chart game or anything.

Looks the best deal so far if true.
Apparently Tesco will be doing something similar to the Morissons deal, but no price has been announced yet.
#24
If I have to get another chart game will get dead rising 2, halo reach or guitar hero 6, plenty to chose from!
#25
What do we think the chances are of a few online retailers matching the supermarkets?
I think Amazon hit £25-ish for FIFA 10...
#26
I think opening weekend maybe. I hope it isn't all about buying another game to get it at a cheap price, because no doubt if one supermarket thinks they can get away with it then no doubt they will all go the same way :(
[mod]#27
I don't think there will be a price war like last year. Take Halo Reach for example..........there was nothing amazing on offer. I think for the time being the loss leaders are taking a back seat and they are not falling into the trap.

Around £35 on it's own will be around the best imo.

I disagree, the reason there were no good deals for Halo is that it is only for the Xbox 360 so the market for the game isn't as large as Fifa and/or Call of Duty.

You watch both titles will be discounted as they can afford to with the titles been multi-platform
#29
Does anyone have any confirmation? Been trying to call 24hr Asda and Tesco near me, but just being kept on hold for ages, then the indian person who answers has no clue what fifa is..and back on hold..then cut off...

Yeah, I think Amazon matched, but not for long.

I'm going to try supermarkets on Friday morning, if I can't get a copy, I'll buy it from ShopTo.
As they have free next day delivery.

Then again we might not see as big a prices war, remember it was only with FIFA 10, and COD:MW2 which really had them.

Although the market isn't as large Halo 3 outsold Fifa 10's multi format sales. I hope i'm wrong but i think the supermarkets aren't going to be silly with the prices.

Maybe Black Ops will prompt a war but don't think this will.

Not much point in calling. I doubt we will know the real prices until Thursday.
As they are all likely waiting for somebody to make the first move.
#33
I traded in FIFA 10 and MW2 at Asda earlier, got £31 for it (which I thought was pretty good) in preperaton for Friday - I asked the person that served me if he knew anything about what price it was going to be and he said they wouldn't know until Thursday at the earliest.

I think you are wrong. Fifa has become very important for supermarkets.

I work at the audio bar at morrisons, we got FIFA in yesterday, and it's scanning through at £36.99

Whilst I' do believe you, there's no merit that this will be the final price come Friday.

Likely just a base price while they wait to see what the other supermarkets do!
#37
Got told 29.97 at Asda.

Morrisons will update the price over night based on the other supermarkets - they did the same with Fifa 10 and MW2. I'm not saying I don't believe you - just that Morrisons leave it right to the last min to update the price.

I was gonna get mine from work with discount, but shopto delivered mine this morning, totally worth the full rrp, even just for the online
