Fileserve problems

Is anyone having problems with fileserve? i bought a premium account last week, for the first 2 days it was running perfect, but now speeds are very slow and worst thing about it now is the downloads will pause then resume. This start and stop is annoying me, it will download a couple of megs, then stop for 10 secs and continue.

its not my net because hotfile still works fine, and its not jdownloader as im also having the same problem when downloading through firefox. im on o2

Maybe your ISP is blocking it?

Filesharing sites are always being put on and taken off ISP's block lists and sometimes IP ranges from ISP's are put on the fileshare site list of places to block.

Have you tried downloading a file while not logged into Fileserve (free)?

Nope sky, and yep downloading free and it still gives me problems. For me its not the end of the world I only use is because my friend uploads his mixes to it, but hes changing to one of the others because of this problem.

Fileserve seems better than it used to be ( I only use it as a free user) but hotfile's ****. Maybe once a month I'll be able to DL something from there at a semi-reasonable speed, but most of the time it's worse than dial up.

Check through this thread mate, it starts of about people having issues with megaupload, but then goes into detail about fileserve and a few other sites, including fileserve and filesonic. Might give you an idea of whats happening.

I'm with O2 and am getting blocked as well. Quite annoying now!

Ditto. Can't wait for Virgin fibre 50mb.

Fileserve is giving me 50-100 kb/ps and I was getting 1.5 mb ps a month ago on fileserve.

An IWF filter site confirms that o2 are monitoring it. My only other option are BE but they are the o2 sister company and I think they are monitoring fileserve too....

Slow downloads will not be due to the block list - or they would never start.

try using flashget download manager, i had loads of problems with jdownloader aswell. Also for speeds , i find rapidshare allot better

O2 are throttling/managinf fileserve via iwf filter.

You can download from there but with very slow speeds.

I have tried idm and jdownloader. Will try flashget later.

only recently my speeds are SOOO slow... on FS , quicker via torrents, any idea is there a fix for this?

Just a quick update, fileserve is no longer on the IWF filter list as far as i'm aware.

This means for people that have premium accounts (me - 6 months) on O2 downloading should be at full speed again... I was getting 1.5mbps on Internet Download manager before it was on the IWF filter then it went down to 0.1mbps.

Will update my speed when i've tried it tonight....
