Is a film a day a marathon?

It is when 3 of them are 3 hours to 3.5 hours long!

That is one freaky film! Dustin at his best along side Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate, All the President's Men, Papillion & Kramer Vs Kramer!

Now that is super cool whether he dozed of or not. Would have loved to do Hitchcock with dad (now dead) but I think I remember watching all the Fawlty Towers with him when he just bought a new VHS player & the vids rented from the local video shop!

You could guess someone would do that but 16 hours in one day is going some.
I figure it would become a chore after a while so did it?

Since I discovered kodi I haven't watched normal television, only iPlayer every now and then. If kodi ever stops then I will be lost. I have just finished nine series of storage wars, yes most of you may hate it but it's okay to have on it the background whilst I'm working.

I bought the white now tv box from shop to from the deal here for about 9quid.

Watched all the sopranos had to as it was leaving. And the got into the walking dead.

Had to blast that too as series 1-5 was leaving.

Crazy I'd only had the thing about 2months or so.

Just gutted I can now only watch one per week of twd.

Not films but definitely been bashing tv!

Watched the Lord of the Rings extended cut over a weekend once, think I did the same of Star Wars too.

Used to do it before the next film in the series was coming out to recap.

many years ago, I once did five films at the cinema in one afternoon. i worked out the start and end times so i could go from one to the other. i can't remember exactly what I went to see, but i do remember that the final film was "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" with Leslie Nielsen.

Dear god it was rubbish, but it was the only film available after the others had ended to complete the five. By that time, I was so tired from watching all the other films I think i must have slept through most of it but i came out of the cinema at around 1am after going in at 12pm the previous day.

I did it again the following year with five more films but i worked them out better so that the last two films were ones i really wanted to see and it worked out nicely as i stayed away throughout.

Doing that nowadays would probably cost me the thick end of about £80 quid with current prices.

3 1/2 hours is nothing, I sat down a few years ago and watched every episode of Wonderfalls back to back, that is about 11 1/2 hours with the credits cut out.

Almost fell asleep during the last Westworld because I hadn't realised it was a double episode before I started watching it, think that might indicate any movie marathon days are over . I do have One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest ready to watch though, which belongs to one of my sons friends. They had to watch it for Philosophy or Psychology , I forget which , anyway it's one of those films that I've never got round to , so might try that today.

I watched the extended LOTR trilogy with friends over one long, boozy day.

I would not do that again.

I wouldn't do that. It must be 26 years out of date if it's a Marathon bar.

was mostly great, stayed in bed and stuffed my face. it probably drained me somewhat but I didn't necessarily set out to watch it all, so I'd have stopped if it became a chore.

I once did a charity event with work, 12 hours of snooker; after about 2 hours I wanted the world to end....
