Finally Got My Delivery Confirmation From LG For My American Style Fridge/Freezer, Its A Totally Different Model...!!!

Ok, originally ordered this model GRL207TUJA from Littlewoods ( Was £699 ) I got it down to £629 using discount vouchers. It has since disappeared off their website. Comes direct from manufacturer.

Ordered way back at beginning of August, Had some problems with delivery LG wouldn't deliver because a letter was missing from my postcode on their dispatch notes. LG blamed Littlewoods, Littlewoods blamed LG etc...

Anyway they sorted it out and finally a month after original expected delivery date LG have called and confirmed it'll finally be delivered next week.

They sent me a confirmation email and the model their sending me is different. It's GWL227YLQA.

It's £899 on Littlewoods website...!!! and between £750-£900 on others.

I'm not complaining as it's got a bigger freezer as the Ice/Water dispenser is built into the door. However it's also cosmetically different.

They didn't inform me that it would be a totally different model, I just hope Littlewoods don't try charging me £899 for it...!!!

I assume that the original one I ordered was probably discontinued as its gone from there website and disappearing from others.

However I would of thought that they'd have canceled or offered me an alternative of equivalent or greater value?.

I'm pleased that the new one is of greater value and higher spec but I am disappointed that they didn't inform me.

Perhaps that's why it's taken so long?

they all look the same to me lol but yeah they all little diffrent features just make sure you get extra warrenty out to be on the safe side
i bought one of these nearly 3 years ago and recently it has been making strange noises its a good job i took out 5 years extra cover.

i was looking for another 1 recently and i think it was the samsung version the mirror finish wow how cool did that look but he was asking too much i think it was £900 and only exclusive at currys.
i think £900 is too much and the prices not seem to have droped either if anything ive notticed theve gone up.
i paid £550 for my samsung just around 3 years ago

yeah i like your model but i cant aford paying that much at the minute, £550 at the max ;-)

I've paid or should I say paying £629 for the £899 model, Plus I've got £48.19 via Quidco, So it works out a total of £580.81.

Not bad really so long as Littlewoods don't try and hike the price up.

Yes £899 is far too much, £629 is too much but paying it weekly interest free, The original one I ordered is £699 at comet although you can get it a little cheaper else where for between £600-£699 + delivery.

I once had a second hand Samsung and it only lasted a week before it packed up, The retailer went bust the same week, So couldn't get a replacement or refund although he did give me an old one to keep me going.

I will be taking extended warranty out, My experiences with the latest Fridge/Freezers are not good. In the last 3 years I've had several different 2nd hand fridges and/or freezers and they've all broke. In the end I bought a new Hotpoint fridge/freezer that's been working fine but it's simply not big enough for my family, I'm going to keep it just in case.

My advise to anyone is never buy a 2nd hand fridge/freezer...!!!

I ordered a double bed for my mum & dad from Littlewoods, they then sent a king size instead and charged for it! I think it was like an extra £200! I rung them up and explained, I said to them, to save any bother, they'll keep the bed to save you picking it up as long as you only charge for the double....which they agreed to do! :) Also got a duvet set & pillows thrown in! If they do chareg you extra, a polite phone call shoudl do the trick...
