Dont pay more than you need to, I come across this site which will as the title suggest bring a list of the cheapest fuel in your area.

Is this a deal ? not sure but if it saves money I guess the answer is yes, mods please feel free to move / amend / delete as needed.

Happy saving,

As an aside to this, I wonder how many people drive miles out of their way to 'save' money

Interesting point I agree the program gives a 5 mile radius, I agree to put a few pound in the car would not benifit most people but my car take £58-£65 to fill so I would and will do it, nice point though :)

The reason the prices are so high is due to lack of oil, however it is the goverment that are making the most out of this with stupid tax hikes,

I like the concept but am somewhat sceptical about your solution, I honestly belive the 67p ltr will never come back just like the bread eggs prices.

Politics .... :whistling:

See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it
We are hitting £1.24 a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying £2.00 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't
continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever
thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.
Please read it and join in!
Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take a ggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place
not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not
purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP .

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!
Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send i t to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and
pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ..
THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.(and not buy at ESSO/BP ) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt,
all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference . If this makes
sense to you, please pass this message on.
PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE RANGE
It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e. boycott BP and Esso

any1 else had this email?

If you don't forward this email to at least 10 people within the next 34 seconds you will die a horrible painful death and your gf/bf will cheat on you, even after you have died.

But before you do we have a firm in Uganda which has just gone bust but are exporting the remaining capital to the UK, all we need now is a temporary bank account where we can keep the money while we open another one, there is no risk involved and you get to keep 50% of the money we put it. Paypal preferred.

Boycott BP and Esso, but buy Shell? Didn't Shell post the biggest profits? Now we know why!:whistling:

The problem is its calculated 'as the crow flies'. Just like ebay etc, so for example Southend is only about 15 miles from me but to actually drive there it's about 50

bread and egg prices i can cope with, 86p for a loaf of best warbys toastie cut ,or 56p for 8 fresh eggs, £6 a gallon of juice bit of a difference

Where on earth do you get those prices? £1.46 for my hovis granary (down from £1.74 last month!) and £1.75 for 6 free range eggs :w00t:

Petrol prices dont bother me so much as I gave up working a while back as the commute was getting on for 25% of my take home!

Same, one day those drips will be worth more than gold! (this time next year?)

As for bread and eggs... I pay 37p for Tesco Value wholemeal and £1.60 for 12 free range eggs from a local place that keeps chickens.

The BP/Esso thing isn't real, it'd never work and has been debunked a few times.

This is also prob the 1000th petrolprices.com post on these boards, but it's ok as I'm sure a lot of us want to complain about the price of fuel again.

Yeah I got the petrolprices email once/twice a week and it's often 1 or 2p out now with the non-stop rises. Had my petrol buying habbits down to a tea (would top up when I'm over the other side of Kent on a Thursday and save about 4p/litre on what it is here) but now everyone's caught up and there's no order. 118.9 round these parts now. :x

We all get shafted by the price of petrol, but someone paying nearly £1.50 for a loaf of bread is just laughable, theres loaves out there for less than 50p as good as the big named stuff.

Mate, some people are prepared to pay for quality and others just put up with eating shat! I expect you buy the value beans too.

Name a 50p loaf that tastes as good as hovis granary? I bet you've never even tried it cheapskate!

Not getting into a discussion about bread, but if you've got an Aldi close by, try theirs:thumbsup: I go out of my way to get bread there as it tastes so much better than the normal supermarket **** and it always seems fresher too.
