Finding a buyer

Hi,

Just wondered if any of you smart guys can help with a query.

How would you find someone to buy a large quantity of ironmongery that they could sell on at a huge profit?

I am able to get pallet loads of the stuff at a reasonable price but have to buy the whole lot, which I am very happy to do.

I thought about Ebaying 'lots' but the stuff goes for rediculous prices (tried it before) and hardly cover the price that I paid for it. I can sell it at HALF the 25% of retail (1/8th RRP.) that stuff sells for on Ebay but how do I find the people wishing to purchase?

Is there a website or forum somewhere, that people go to for this sort of thing? If there is, Could someone point me in that direction please.

Any other ideas?

You don't say what ironmongery you are planning to sell but an achitectural salvage dealer might be interested, if it's that sort of thing you're talking about. A Google search or a flick through the Yellow Pages should bring something up.

bit confused about your statement?
it doesn't pay for you to sell it on ebay but then you say your sale price is 12.5% of what it fetches on ebay??, doesn't that mean you can make 87.5% profit just matching the other ebay dealers prices? or still make37.5% profit if you sell it at half that price?

I can make 87.5% profit.
I can sell for less profit enabling someone ELSE to make 75% profit should they wish to do so or they can sell it for even less to move it quicker.

But it'll take a couple of years to move and I have loads of other items coming all of the time.
