I never realised it would be so hard to find work..
Part time jobs are like hidden gems which are normally discovered by 600 applicants.

I normally do call centre work part time while I continue my studies and normally have no problem at all finding a job. I have checked on most the popular job sites and I believe my CV is ok yet I rarely receive any word back..

Anyone else having a hard time finding work again?
Any tips on finding a part time role?

Thanks ;)

Don't just look on the internet, if it's not just call centre work you're after wander round shops/bars/pubs etc, most places advertise in their windows.....

Oh, and spend less time on here!!!

I know that it doesn't actually pay you a salary, but what about volunteering in the interim - basically to keep you busy, get you out there networking and just building a few contacts, plus it's something else to put on your CV. Employers quite like it if you've done some volunteering in your local community.

I got a full-time job and a part-time job, & i also go to uni part-time i've always found jobs no problem. Security/stewarding work there is the need for at the moment, but its not regular work you'll get called up for events etc which are always about in the summer. :)

Do you need to drive for a lot of their positions?
Currently living in a semi dodgy area so kinda worried about getting attacked :p

considering though =) thanks

Good luck TM - I know how hard it is at the moment.

Don't forget to check the local authority website as their advertise their own posts and have a lot of part time positions through job shares etc
