I actually downloaded the Firefox browser months ago but only just started using it yesterday.

I must say this thing is absolutely brilliant. Much faster than Internet Explorer, much more user friendly, and it remembers my key logs on sites that internet explorer would not, making typing 500% quicker.

If anyone has not yet tried it or are scared to make the change, I am telling you to give it a go. This thing is marvelous!!

For those who are not computer literate, all you do is download it and when you want to use it, instead of clicking on your internet explorer icon you click on the firefox icon, you can even have both running together if you really must. I am saying this so that people realise that you are not making a jump which is irreversible. If you don't like it just never use it again, Even uninstall it.

But I bet 98% of you like it.

Oh and don't forget to install the Google toolbar here:

you either love it or you hate it, and I love it! I especially like the addons you can get for it. The del.icio.us bookmarks being one of my faves.

This browser is amazingly fast, one quick question though....

...I have just viewed the source from one of my web pages and tried to edit it but it refuses to let me touch it.

I have had a few beers tonight so am not even going to check what it opens with. I made all of my pages in notepad and they used to open in notepad through internet explorer which was quick and easy access for me to edit.

I have just failed to do the same with the firefox browser, it open's it, but not in notepad. I will look into it later when I can see no evil or hear no evil. Hehehe.

Netscape is based on the same mozilla codebase that firefox is, but has lots of added crud and bloat - stay away.

For those having trouble with some sites (e.g. yahoo mail) refusing to let you save passwords, try the "remember password" bookmarklet - just drag it to your personal toolbar/bookmarks.
