Google lied to me then.

What is the latest version of Chrome?
The latest version of Chrome is: 49.0.2623.87. Chrome is available for pretty much all computer platforms, including Windows, Mac, Android and iPhones/iPads. I use Chrome for the majority of my web browsing and recommend it as the best browser available.

Chrome: works quite well, but memory management is simply HORRENDOUS. As a result, I only use it when I absolutely have to.

Indeed, it also as a result uses a lot of battery. I like Safari very much these days now.

Never used Safari myself. Is it cross-platform?

It looks like Safari support for Windows was dropped. I guess best one would be Firefox.

No surprise there. With Chrome, Firefox and Opera it stood no chance.

Chrome on Android is perfect. No need for Firefox.
