It would be funny if they weren't trying to laugh their way out of copying something that is 4 years old now, once again Sony are late to the party.

sorry but the concept of the camera and tracker ball dates back to ps2 days, this is an enchanced version with added accelerometers which nintedo dont own patents or any other rights for.

i quite like the advert, in a strange kind of way...

i must admit, i wasnt overly impressed with it until i saw this ad - guess it worked! i was expecting it to be solely aimed at wii-type games, but the ones they showed actually look awesome, like they could fit in with the controllers really well. whether they ever get turned into real games or not remains to be seen i guess...

apparently it can be adapted to any game easily as an alternative to standard dualshock controls.
the killer apps will obvisouly be the ones specifically designed for it but like when the ps3 came out, it will take time to develop and release top quality games. same will happent to natal as well so initially everyone will think their a fail but eventually produce next gen motion gaming......well the move will anyway, need to see some glitch free natal demo's to make conclusions on that.

Yeah and webcam games date back to well before the PS2 with the PC, the accelerometers is the only thing that really worked, hence them all trying to copy it.

but without the combination, it would just be laggy and inaccurate.

the camera reads at 60 frames providing the one to one tracking while the accelerometers get the accuracy.

nintendo wii is a good system no doubt, but its just outdated and its software isnt impressive compared to xbox and ps3.

well the ergonomics looks right for a massager, all they need now is that functionality :p

I think it will be a great item, due to it having a great games selection by the looks of it.

The Sony Wii - What happened to the revolution that was Sixaxis? Did they ditch that now?
