Fitted kitchens

I live in the Manchester area and I'm looking to get a fitted kitchen and need some advice on companies to avoid and ones to consider. I'm always hearing horror stories of cowboy companies who rip people off.

I'm looking for a small quality kitchen (known makes for appliances and solid wood doors), but nothing special as this is my first house and will not be living there for more than 5 years.

Any suggestions?

This site is pretty good, but expensive. http://www.realwoodkitchens.co.uk/?gclid=CKzCmOWXpogCFTc9EQod6l73NA

For a budget you can always use the likes of MFI/BnQ etc etc

This company is based in manchester http://www.beckermann-kitchens.co.uk/

It all depends on your budget i guess...any idea as to how much you want to spend?

ikea kitchens are good quality and have a few price ranges. You will have to travel to warrington or leeds though!!!!!

I work for a construction company (London) and we order kitchens from Howdens
They have good prices but you need to ask if they can fit it as well...

I'm looking at spending around £5k - £6k inc fitting & appliances (perferably less:-D )

I've only got a small kitchen, It's has to be an "L" shape measuring 2030 x 2750mm because its so narrow.

I need a cooker, fridge / freezer, and washer / dryer, sink etc!

Am I being realistic?

Ps

I've had 2 quotes £6,500 (moben) and £6,100 (an independent company based in Manchester)

New store at Ashton-Under-Lyne willl prob be nearer.

Thats said, if he wants to spend £6k on a small kitchen then he can do better than flat pack for that money.
