Looking at getting my xbox360 flashed with ixtreme 1.4.

Few questions:

1.is it an easy process to do, if not anyone know where can i send mine to be done?
2.where would i get the neccesary stuff to do it and?
3.I take it with ths firmware you can still go on xbox live without getting banned.

For Samsungs and BenQs it's pretty easy, just need a certain SATA controller, SATA Cable and USB Key

You can still go on live, hasn't been a ban since 1.4 came out (1.4.1 is out to fix a small bug in 1.4)

1. Its an easy process if you know what your doing.
2. Equipment can be found easy on the internet ect but varies according to console drive.
3.Play on live at you own risk however atm people are not getting banned but this could change at anytime.

Next step is then to open it up and find out if its a 79, 78 or anything lower. If it's a 78 or anything lower then great, you're good to go. If it's a 79 be prepared to find someone skilled to do it for you!

can send you my opening tool if you like (as long as you return it) you need to find what version you have postage is also a lot cheaper if the drive is out it your sending it to someone

79 can only be done with a chip more money than its worth

You may want to send it to someone to get it flashed, should be about £20

had my 360 flashed at a shop, cost me £40 worked on live for about 8months, then got the 3rings, took back to shop and owner said he would un-flash and re-flash for £20 when i got it back repaired from microsoft . did this but they knew it had been tampered with and band me on live. bloke at shop had 360s coming out of ears ,so thought he knew what he was on about , saved a fortune in games and if you dont play on live i think its a must , and probably still worth the risk if you do
