Fleabay sellers question... (sorry)

I know we're not encouraged to disuss fleabay on here, but i just need to ask a question.

i sold something (an ipod) for the first time today. The person payed - however in my paypal account it's come up as 'held for release', and in my bank it says 'pending'.

it says the only way i will recieve this money is after i send the item, if the buyer leaves positive feedback. Is this right? Am i safe to send? Or could the buyer keep the ipod, and not pay?

Thanks again.

iv heard something about this , if its an electrical item over £50.00 or something like that, paypal keep the money till the buyer leaves you feedback, then you will get your money.

:( This isn't very good though is it. What if the person forgets to give feedback, or gives me neutral or something?

Yeah, thats correct.

I had the same with an lcd monitor I sold a few months back.

Its due people selling dodgy goods or blaming postal services for lost post.

Just kindly ask the winner to leave feedback as soon as he receives the item, and explain why just incase he questions you...

I think if after 30 days or so. If no feedback has been left the payment goes thru.

Hopefully he wont have any reason to give neutral feedback, :)

Is there no way that the buyer can leave feedback before i send? Or does that make me look dodgey?

I really don't fancy sending if there's a chance i might not get the money for it :(

its nothing to do with that @ all lol its just a new ebay rule that affects certain items and certain ebayers who have less then 100 feedback

Thanks for your help everyone.

Yeah - i have 100% feedback, but its my first time selling as opposed to buying, so i guess it's fair. Though its a horrible rule.
