Might be cheaper to fly to Bangkok first, then pick up one way flights when you get there. I did this and paid £300 odd to Bangkok and then about £25 to Phuket

300 quid to Thailand! When was that, 20 years ago? :whistling:

The absolute best price for a flight to Bangkok at the moment is £389 by Jet Airways from Heathrow. This is available until the end of March on certain dates, but will need to book quite quickly.

For the connection, always best to use Thai airways, as the other smaller operators in Thailand have a really ropey reputation for safety. Depending on when you're going, looks like a return from Bangkok to Phuket is about 3630 baht (about £75):

Depending on when you're going, just thought of another potentially cheaper option. From March onwards Air Asia are starting to fly from Stansted to Kuala Lumpa where you can connect to Bangkok.

To be honest, it'll add a few hours to your journey and personally I think they're a terrible airline, kind of like an asian Ryanair, but you'll probably be able to beat the 389 quid price above if you're a bit flexible.

2/3 years ago, from Expedia, in the 'rain' season. As for the internal flights, you are better off picking up a deal at the airport the day you want to fly, much better price. The smaller airlines are fine.

No offence like, but I don't believe you got a return to Thailand for less than 350 quid. As for internal flights, unless you can get a Thai speaker to book it for you, it's always cheaper to book in advance. Would be really interested to see evidence to the contrary, but I think you're making it up!

At least I offered some genuine advice, with examples. In terms of offering deal advice, you did what?

"A capla a yerrs ago, I parted wiv abart 300 notes fur a flite to Thailand and abart a pony for a flite to Puke-it (as i calls it, cackle cackle!!)"

Not really very helpful, you mongeloid Sarf London Spiv!!! What were you doing in Thailand anyway, over there for the ladyboys were you? :whistling:

That was quite funny, well done.

But back to the subject, I paid £300 ODD for a flight (did not say it was under £350), stop off in Adu Dhabi, and yes return. When you get to Bangkok you can get some great deals from local agents, when I went back again I paid roughly £70 for 3 nights in a decent hotel with return flights (Bangkok to Phuket).

Yes, because everyone that goes to Thailand goes for ladyboys.
