Flights to Geneva next january, any good sites please?

Thinking of going skiing next year and I would need to travel on 2/1/11 returning on 9/1/11
We are looking at doing the flight ourselves to see if we can save money. We have driven before but do not want to drive again.
Trying to go to Geneva where we will then get a taxi or bus to the alps.
I have never booked flights before we have always gone as a package. Can someone point me in the right direction.
We could fly from East Midlands, Birmingham or further if needed. We usually go from Gatwick but would prefer a Midlands airport if not doing a package holiday.
Some airlines dont seem to have their prices out yet.
I have gone onto a site called travelsupermarket.com but their flights are not direct. As the flight is only just over an hour we definitely want direct.
Any regular travellers know of good sites to use please or even an alternative airport to Geneva. We are going to La Plagne in the Alps.
Any help would be very appreciated please.
Thanks

Why Geneva?

I'm sure I flew to Lyon when I went skiing to La Plagne. (Good choice BTW)

Oh... and I'd imagine EasyJet will be the cheapest... Early bird gets the worm, so the sooner you book, the cheaper it is. I expect those dates are not yet loaded - but not 100% sure.

Thanks for skyscanner no direct flights on there at mo but good site for the future thanks

Guv...you are absolutely right i am going to look at others we flew into geneva this year but have gone into Turin and Milan in the past and i know some people we met did Lyon so might have to widen my search.
Yes i love La Plagne, great skiing. We actually stayed at aime la plagne last year and loved it.

It truely was yonks ago I stayed there (in a chalet that we could ski down to) Is Aime the appartments lower down centre? Thing I remember most is way over towards Italy, the huge Red Mogul field down from the Glacier. frightened the life out of me at the time! (Huge drop at the bottom of the run, just orange fenced off tape and green motorway starting at this point. I expect its the same now!)

We tried to go up the Glacier on our last day but when we got half way on the lift up from La Plagne the closed the Glacier due to the wind. Weird as where we were it wasnt windy at all. Just shows how difficult ski conditions can be up on the Glacier. hopefully do it this time though. We will defiinitely be sticking to the easiest route down though.
We stopped at the ClubMed at Aime La Plagne. Downside is you cant go out on a night but with kids we just stay in anyway. great ski in ski out there. Hopefully going back to same place but they have put prices up a bit so working out if we can get there cheaper.

Have you thought about using Eurostar? I think it goes to the station situated directly below in the valley. Probably cost a fiver or so from the La Plagne train station.

I'm sure I did bet my bearings correct on where you mean. The whole area opens out and is pretty flat at this location?

Cheeky ******s...just spoken to club Med, They give a discount for early booking but if your dont take their flight they dont give you the discount. Works out at only about £300 more for their flight. For a family of 4 I reckon it would cost that alone in transferring from the airport so think we will have to take their flight.
Could go with someone else but to be honest found their all inclusive great as we didnt spend anything whilst we were there.
Thanks for ideas though we may do a chalet again in the future so this post has still been useful.
Happy skiing.
