Is it me or do people seem to almost be happy at the prospect of floods. Could be a smile of nervousness, but it could also be one of "yay I get the day off work!"...

Mind you, i guess it is just a warning and will probably amount to nothing at all. Time will tell I guess!!!

Er - i think it may just be you. I would guess that anyone whos journey to work may be affected because of floods, would most likely be live in an area where their home could be affected too! Following the last deluge which resulted in appauling damage to property/health/mental stability/insurance premiums, i doubt very few people would find cause for celebration - just a personal view...

Someone I know told me during the Carlisle floods their insurance company made an excuse and only paid about £1000 to them when they should of got around £6000, excuse being my friend never told the insurers he lived 10 minutes walk from a river thus making it more at risk etc.

I hope people will use the warnings and try and at least keep themselves safe

ha ha il just be up stairs all morning looking out the window and praying !!!!!!!!!!! to get to the beach takes me about a 4 or 5 min walk !!!!!!

if my house got flooded i wouldnt be happy, i'd get wet.

i feel sorry for the people that have been evacuated from there houses up in great yarmouth and lowestoft.........
