Florida Package Deal

Thinking of booking a florida package deal with Thomas Cook in July.

The deal includes car hire however does not include insurance for the car. Once I arrive at the car rental place to pick up the car, how much more can I expect to pay for adquate full cover insurance per day?

you can sort out all the cover in the uk. We did everything through an independant company here before picking our car up in florida. Will try and find details for you.

OK don't do it:)

Hore a car independantly and ignore the "free" one as it will cost you more to insure it than to hire a brand new one privately:)

been there done that!!!

maybe if you do it all over there. but if its done here in the UK should be able to do it cheaper than hiring a car and sorting insurance themselves.

thomas cook will charge say 155 for fully comp insurance.
hiring with the likes of usrentacar will be 145 for car fully insured.

most times the savings are much bigger and yes hire the car before leaving the UK, however trying to insire the free one will cost you more than hiring a new one (always has worked that way for me and I go 3-4 times a year)

head over to the dibb.co.uk
all the info you need

but you dont have to go through thomas cook for the insurance? It is probably worth them looking at both options and seeing which is the best and cheapest for them.
