Fly SLT100 can be unlocked - about £10

For those who got the Fly SLT100 from The Link, I have just been emailed by the company I always used to get phones unlocked and they confirm that they can unlock the Fly SLT100.

I have tried to get my Fly SL600 unlocked locally, but as I use it on vodafone I do not need it unlocked, but all local shops just look at it and shake their heads.

Anyway mobyrepairs.com in Telford can unlock this by a postal service.

I have used them many times. They also offer their services via ebay. I have never had a problem with them and every phone comes back fully unlocked.

send your phone to them by recorded delivery, then they send it back on generally a same day service by recorded delivery.

So they charge £7 including return postage and you then pay the £3 or so to get the phone to them.

If you need any other info PM me.

Thanks elitom :)

You can post links to the unlocking site as long as they dont host any affiliate links.

Yes I know - James at MobyRepairs really thought it could be unlocked using the infinity box, but the cable required is different to other Fly phones and the cable configuration is also giving some problems.

I did post the original post in good faith but James has actually posted here with a full explanation. I am sure he is working on a solution

****** guess it will go the same way with mine - what other options are there to unlock this?

Be careful with these guys (mobyrepairs.co.uk). I sent them a brand new Fly SLT100 for unlocking, confirmed it was delivered to their address in Telford, and then didn't hear anymore. They basically stole my phone and made me pay for it (cause I pre-paid via paypal for the unlocking). None of their contact details are reachable -try for yourself and see-. I am now in the process of contacting the relevant authorities.
Be careful. !

further to my post above, James (from mobyrepairs) got in touch and said mixup happened because he is on holiday. We have now come to a resolution but my heads-up still stands. Anyone wanting to do business should never leave emails unanswered for longer than 48 hours (it is not that difficult to put an autoresponder on an email address). With all the scams in cyberspace people get jittery very quickly and understandably feel frustrated when they are ignored.

HI,

I have rung you from Tenerife as soon as i picked up my e-mails at a business centre. It is difficult to access the internet here with no wireless available.

I have checked and your phone is at our unit and will be returned when i return on tue/wed this week. I'm sorry for the inconvience, normally the other guys can return the phone's whilst i am away but only i can service these Fly SLT-100's at present as they are difficult to unlock.

Best Regards
James
