Right. We're all throwing away too much food. Here, on this thread you can put up simple menu ideas that you have tried and liked for all of us to try and then we can rate them. Also what about foods that you can freeze? That leftover cheese. Did you know you can freeze cheese? Odd bits of cheese put in a container in the freezer could be used for cheese mash/cheese on toast or similar. Milk? (Make sure the container has a gap to allow for expansion and always thaw properly) Come on let's save some dosh and get this thread going.

I make a lot of stews and freeze them - use Shin of Beef - it's only £6/Kg and make a large pot of it - split it into containers and freeze.

Very little is thrown out in my household or when it is it's served two purposes before it hits the bin. Even freeze veg peelings for use in stock making before discarding & chicken carcass is used again for stock & the big bones after that are given to folks parrot who loves the marrow.

Great idea, I'm the only one in my house who eats mushrooms and it works out so expensive buying a pack and only eating a few of them before they go off!
