Signed. Millwall have been my English team since I was 5 years old. Regardless of allegiances, the entire scenario reeks.

Thanks its unbelievable its gone this far the offshore company renewal have links with the local counselors and lewisham if people would only read all the evidence that's available people will see what's going on and its needs to be stopped but guess its going to happen so next stop is a public enquiry thats going to cost the taxpayer more money.

I've got no love for Millwall, but I've been following this for some time, it reeks of corruption from the council. There should be no way a council can be seen to be buying and then giving away land to a faceless company that has strong links to previous councillors. It needs a compete review from an independent body. Signed.

This goes beyond football rivalries. What is happening is a scandal and yet nothing from central government? What's the local MP saying?

Has society become that corrupt that they would brazenly pull something like this??

I'll never forget that day outside the local Spar when the Milwall fans came down the M4 to face Bristol City.

I can't remember the score but as I prefer Rovers I hope they smashed City about as hard as they did that shop over lol.

Signed.

Millwall came to my town once, a few years back, when Luton and Millwall were in the same league. Millwall fans trashed the town completely. Obviously not all the fans are like that, but theres a large group that are from Millwall.

However i will sign it, being a football fan and knowing how much football clubs really give to the community.

Don't like Millwall but some of my family have links there. The idea of it moving is disgraceful and I've signed it. Clubs like this are important to the community and they definitely deserve better.

It's not like they're Leeds.

I live in the Lewisham borough(and was born there) but I am actually a Palace supporter. Ignoring SOME of their fans for a moment, I have nothing but a good view of Millwall football club. For over ten years(that I know of), Millwall coaches and players have run after school sessions at my son's and many other schools in the borough. They always put a lot of effort into it and that can only be good for the kids.
The links between the company in question and councillors past and PRESENT absolutely stinks. Unfortunately corruption is rife nowadays most people will not even but an eyelid about this.

It was 32 years ago 1985 and it was the fa cup you sure you can remember or just making it up was it this you remember oO In March 2000, on the fifteenth anniversary of the Luton riot, a group calling themselves "MIGs 2000" were blamed for revenge attacks on Millwall fans when the two teams met at Kenilworth Road.[1] Bedfordshire Police stated that they were aware, weeks before the match, of plans by MIGs 2000, to attack Millwall fans in retribution for the events of 1985.They were said to want revenge with the attitude of, "They've trashed our town once they're not doing it again."[1]

The police launched a huge match day operation, bringing in 130 police officers as well as police horses, dogs and a helicopter. Ten people were arrested on the day of the match. Before the match two pubs where Millwall fans were drinking were attacked. About 30 MIG 2000 threw bottles at the Duke of Clarence in Upper George Street at about 1:30pm and tried to force their way into the pub to attack Millwall fans peacefully drinking inside. Glass doors were smashed and the manager ordered his staff out of the bar for their own safety. Police had to deal with a similar incident an hour later outside the Nelson Flagship pub in Dunstable Road when the Luton gang had doubled. Whilst Millwall fans had a fierce reputation, it was the local Luton hooligans who were entirely blamed for the violence and the Millwall fans were praised for their generally good behaviour.

Dirty scummy lewisham council are getting it from all angles its been on tv & in the press all week now live on sky sports all backing our claims. False claims and underhand tactics with this offshore fake developer registered in the british virgin islands that pays no uk tax and nobody knows who owns them so next stop old bill will be looking into this.
ITS COME ON TOP BIG TIME MR MAYOR F YOU !

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jan/24/millwall-the-den-cpo-scheme-lewisham-council

Today’s news has moved very fast. Firstly we hear that a group of 45 Lewisham councillors has called for an independent enquiry into the New Bermondsey affair. Secondly a major sponsor of the Renewal scheme in Cabinet member Damien Egan has withdrawn his backing for the plans in their current form.

Millwall fans can regard this news as two major battles won, but not yet the war itself.

The AMS protest campaign will not end until the CPO process has been definitively terminated by Lewisham Council and Mayor Steve Bullock has proffered his resignation. He is intimately linked with the current scandal and his position is no longer tenable. He must go.

Until new leadership from within Lewisham Council emerges our campaign and our evidence gathering will continue.

We wish to place on record our thanks to the brave stance of Councillors Alan Hall and Liam Curran. Once again we wish to express our debt to Guardian journalist Barney Ronay, our the secret source ‘Swiss Tony’ and the total support that we have received from the Millwall family and the world beyond. We are humbled.

Our battle continues. Up the Lions.
