Its okay they needed to do a new layout else its just the same game with new players. Like the new tactics you can put on each player and touch line tactics is a good feature.

I'd recommend downloading the Strawberry demo as opposed to the Vanilla one considering it's the fuller-version. It also has a second skin, which is a lot better than the default white one.

So far I've been really impressed with the demo. The interface takes a little getting used to, but after an hour or so, you'll find it's pretty straight forward. The game didn't need a complete overhaul and I'm glad they merely touched up and tweaked aspects rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. I love the new tactics creator as now you can get your players to do what you want in footballing terms, rather than having to stick with the sliders. They're still there and are useful, but you're not as reliant on them as you have had to be in the past.

When I first played a few games, the match engine looked really dodgy with wingers just strolling down the wings and not getting pressured or tackled. The goalkeepers also looked scared of every cross and would often miss them completely, however after a few games it's seemed to have settled and looks great. You can actually get your players to play as you want, and the addition of the touchline shouts are welcomed, too. It seemed a novelty at first, but it can make a real difference at times. It's obviously not going to work all the time, as in real football, but it makes sense to overload and attack if you're losing with a few minutes to go, for example. Just remember to avoid using contradictory shouts.

All-in-all it's an improvement over 08 and 09 at least, and it could possibly be the best or at least most refined version yet. The new interface feels a little cold at first, but I'm warming to it. Plus, give it time and there will be plenty of different skins, facepacks, logos etc to suit your liking.

As always there are a few bugs that need ironing out, and hopefully most of them will be caught before release as I believe they'll be releasing a patch on the day.

when picking your team, you hae the positions on the right hand side. Of each player there is a miniture shirt and a green/orange/yellow dot on the right of the shirt, to show they can play there... What is on the left hand side, its either a blue rectangle, a white rectangle or a switchover sign? Thanks for help.

I try and stay away from this game....it's ridiculously addictive and time flies by without realising that "1 more game" has turned into a whole season.
