Thats like saying why show an american film or program on it which it does all the time, it's a TV station FFS not a BNP information channel

Besides it is at Wembly and has players which play for british clubs playing

I think you are slightly missing the point. If it was a game of some importance then i could understand it, but a friendly..... who next, Greece v kazakhstan.

I suppose it's a way of seeing the Republic of Ireland on tv, as they won't be on in the summer :whistling:

But not born there..................

If my parents were Japanese but I was born here does that make me Japanese?
#10
that would make you british japaneese
#11
OP has a point, this is ITV2 fodder and I like football too !
#12
actually - british asian - japaneese.

So ITV is for brits only? Thanks for clearing that up
#14
neither was greg rusedski, and not even both parents were british. There's quite a few of them too.

And to answer your question, legally you could be either as you'd be entitled to both passports.

I guess the point i'm making is you didn't see the british public going, hold on greg, you're not even a brit.
#15
forget that its ireland, cuz obviously thats the only reason people are questioning this. If it were brazil vs spain i don't think we'd see this thread. Who doesn't wanna watch brazil?
banned#16
Guess ITV can't show Cricket either then since half of the team isn't brittish?
#17
Is it arsenal v chelsea?

Actually I don't think we ever truly saw him as one of us.

JRR Tolkein - SA
George Orwell - India
Joanna Lumley - Kasmir
Rudyard Kipling - India
Prince Albert - Germany
Nigel Hawthorn - SA
Freddie Mercury - Zanzibar

Who'd have known joanna lumley wasn't a brit? Well i never! Get her off the box!

I think you should write to OFCOM or somebody I mean seriously first they have a football game on in Britain without a british team playing and afterwards they have Piers Morgan on Shanghai!! Who cares about Shanghai this is britain it should be Piers Morgan on Morecambe.

I thought it was from the Emirates Stadium... I'd normally expect this to be on ITV2 or ITV4 not ITV1 but I guess they must have some interest in this game and will probably be using it to promote the world cup in 100 days.

So it is, still a british stadium. I was thinking it was weird to play at Wembly tonight since england are playing there tomorrow

It would be alright if it was the current national flag you used and not one which was abolished in 1973 under the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973.

Don't know, they should have had it at Croke Park in Dublin as it's much bigger and could have easily filled it to capacity
