In the voice of Jimmy Cricket

"Come here there's more"

Senator Obama 2005

But the liberals, the SJW's, the media, the millennials, the anti Trump brigade and many more are too stupid to understand the concept of fact and truth.

just goes to show, the last presidents like our governments are just all "talk". now someone has comes along and does what they say, and it's literally the end of the world (many have said) lol. now the question is, would they have marched and demonstrated against Obama and Clinton and the rest?
think we all know the answer to that lol.

An immigrant couldn't do my job.

But then I don't feel the need to use capitals in the middle of a sentence and
know the difference between "was" and "were"...

"YOU" is for emphasis. "The media was silent" is correct.

"YOU" is for emphasis. "The media was silent" is correct.

That sentence would be correct (although "were" would still be preferable, as the media is really a plural not a singular - there isn't only one TV station or newspaper is there?)

Still, that wasn't the sentence the OP used.

With the YOU in front it's wrong.

You is always were. Both singular and plural.

I hold my hands up, YOU were correct :), though I do feel a bit stupid now :(

Also, isn't this mostly related to Mexicans and the US/Mexican border?

If so, the number of Mexican immigrants has been falling pretty steadily for ages.

Huge falls under Obama.

Not sure Clinton/Bush achieved any mind, but they possibly put things in place now having an affect.

(It was pretty mental in the 90s as well btw).

English grammar is Indo-European based, has a lot of irregularities, and it changed a lot in the 21st Century and continues to change with globalisation (with other English speaking countries) and with modernisation. Moreover if sufficient people use bits of grammar in a popular way over a long period, they become accepted, like words and grammar rules from social networking.

Yeah.

Was is still wrong..

It's a singular/plural thing.

If you didn't include any of the 's's or ed's on the end of certain words above it wouldn't read properly. For instance:

"English grammar is Indo-European base, has a lot of irregularity, and it change a lot in the 21st Century and continue to change with globalisation (with other English speaking country) and with modernisation. Moreover if sufficient people use bit of grammar in a popular way over a long period, they become accept, like word and grammar rule from social networking."

I get your point, but some rules are there for a reason.
