Yeah, BBC news had the Ronaldo story. As if he'd go, or United would let him. Surely he wants Champions League football.

haha, that's ridiculous! as if he'll be able to get them. It's not like they're spurs. ;) (ha!)

Why am I slightly worried that our half-whit owners would accept a big bid for Torres if it came in

Im a blue but i could honestly see that happening. If you got an offer £35m+ i can see him being sold and the americans pocketing the money

It's have to be more than £35m. Anything over £50m and i would start getting concerned.

Also, they are wanting to sell at a profiit, they can't do that if they devalue the club. Plus if Torres is sold then Benitez will walk, leaving the team in disarray. They can't afford to do that, i hope!

Look if they buy alot of good players they will have champions league football. I can see robinhos move marking other good players to come to man city too. He says he is the new abrahamovic

Do you think they will give Hughes a chance or get rid of him for some bigger named manager, I know it's only a few games in but he has them sitting 3rd.

According to SSN a £50m bid was rejected from Man City

I think they'll have the same problem Chelski had when they decided they wanted to buy the world, any player and team worth their salt would not be tempted by rediculous sums of money. Sure they'll get some overpriced players, but the likes of Ronaldo, Torres and Fabregas? really?

Also, the new owners want success this season, It even took chelsea a few seasons to win the premiership, and its only really this season with the addition of Deco that they look like a decent team.

Its all mouth in my opinon, and I suspect that unless they are top by christmas, Mr Hughes will be told to walk, which would be a shame.

Surely that would be ridiculous. They only signed once very good player at the end of the window, One man can not do it all, even if they do score shed loads of goals, look at Torres, scoring a record number of goals in a debut season, yet Liverpool still finished 4th. Add some more players in the January window and you would be looking at a UEFA Cup spot. It would be at the minimum next season to challenge the top 4.

It would be ridiculous, thats my point! Managers seem to get sacked for the most stupid reasons these days, just look at Sven and Avram Grant...
