William Hills are still taking bets on the Masters with tiger @ 5/2, and everyone else at big prices
so you can do your bets for it now, if tiger takes part no loss
if tiger doesnt play, you've gotten huge odds on your selection compared to the week of the tournament, because there's no rule 4 on antepost golf bets

so who do i pout money on?

no it is

its just that there are a fair few people on here that say gambling is for losers

you never win etc the house always wins

tbh its like anything recreational.

how much do people throw away into booze every year with no possibilty of recouping it?

i spose with gambling you can have fun and win. As long as you keep to your stakes and limits then it should be fine

4/5 not to win a major in 2010 irrespective of how many he plays in. If he therefore takes a year out, it's free money. Good for people in the know really.

Odds courtesy of Betfair

paddy are donk's when it comes to payouts with golf...

they paid out on tiger after round TWO, when the japanese guy won, can't remember who it was, someone will search it for me,

Anyway, tiger'll win a major, i'd be surpised if he doesn't play the masters, or win an event in 2010, he's going through a domestic, not an injury, he can still to his 'job'

mumbojumbo
4/5 is not a good return if you need to tie up funds for a full year.

agreed, whats the odds on him WINNING 1 or more majors then, evens??

taken directly from the Ts & Cs on their site

"Stakes on players who withdraw before a tournament starts will be refunded and no Tattersalls Rule 4 deduction will be applied to winning bets"

intersting....5/2 at the masters you say?

If you think he'll win a major, then lay the "No Majors" on Betfair at 1.79 which equates to approx 5/4 (£100 lay would get £226.60 back including stake)

Well...in the past 10 years (99-09) he's only failed to win a major in '03, '04 and last year. Last years is mostly down to injury and '03 and '04 was when he changed his swing. So the past odds show he's certainly capable..but I wouldn't want to be backing him in anything with the psychological burden on him right now personally.

He's 5/4 NOT to win a major on Hills.
Couple that with the 4/5 lay on the 0 majors on betfair for maximum

*Sadly..willhills stipulate tiger has to partake in every major for their bet to stand, so providing he does that, then profit is guaranteed

i know! Got ahead of myself there and shall amend lol
