Was the difference yesterday, made Liverpool look worse the usual.

He was class yesterday (and that's coming from a LFC supporter)

However, i think at this rate Chelsea will be out of sight by Xmas.

I'm concerned about Chelsea, but when you look at their first 5 games, any dropped points would have been a shock. Their next 4/5 games are a lot lot tougher.

As for Liverpool... I like and respect Roy, but he really needs to get something together asap - 2 places above the relegation zone... wut?!

Agreed, i'm worried that the job and pressure is just too big for him. Other than Gerrard and Carra there is a distinct lack of passion being shown.

Service to Torres would be a start could of won that yesterday if we hadn't played defensively for so long.

I have never doubted Berbatov. Frustrated at times but I knew he was such a great player!

They've had a relatively easy fixture list so far and haven't really been tested, Sadly they've got the momentum which will help them.

However I remember other year Chelsea were cruising, Then they had a dismal spell, United ended up winning the League.

So far United have started the season like they ended last season, Luckily theirs plenty of time to catch up.

Very frustrating seeing United throw points away like we did against Fulham and Everton.

Beating Livepool is better than winning the league, We can forget that Liverpool are only a mid-table team Lol.

I knew, of ALL the people, you would say that!!!

I am sure I voiced my frustration somewhere along the line but I have always said he was a great player. You wait, he wont score for 15 games now!

I've never doubted Berbatov, He's always been class, Just been frustrating. He's one of a few special players who can play at a walking pace. Now he's putting them away, We're seeing an end product, Before we only seen glimpse's.

Anyone think Berb's comeback is down to getting the confidence back while Rooney is out of form? You know, he doesn't have to leave everything for Rooney, or put him through all the time etc.

Lets face it he has probably repaid about 10% of the cash and faith SAF has placed inhim since signing him. He has a hell of a lot more to do to repay his lot.

totally agree. But also if he comes very very good for this and next season, hopefully he will repay the loyalty when Real come sniffing about.

Berbatov is the form striker in the Premier League so far. Malouda is the form player.

this. chelsea have started well for the last couple of seasons but then seem to have a blip 7-8 games in, not to mention the easy games we've had.

Roy should have stayed at fulham imo. was doing well, liked by the fans and not as much pressure from the board to be successfull. 5 games in and only 5 points and -3 goal difference, doesn't look good for them so far.

In any profession you should strive to achieve the best you possibly can. Therefore, a football manager would ALWAYS pick Liverpool over Fulham. In saying that, a football manager would also pick Manchester United over Liverpool.

its not great lol but tbf weve had united, arsenal, city and birmingham away which is a hard fixture, we can get a champions league spot, i dont think arsenal are that much better than us, as long as roy realises maxi is a waste of space we will be fine

Well look at last seasons results for Liverpool compared to this seasons.

Lost to arsenal 2-1 at home last season, drew this season.
Drew away at city last season, lost this season.
Swap WBA for burnley and we won last season, won this season.
Drew away at Birmingham last season, drew this season.
Lost away at Man U last season, lost this season.

5 Points from the games last season, 5 points from the same games this season. Im not too worried yet ^^

To be honest, if scraping a final Europa spot is your target, you've got every reason not to be worried TBH.

For a team hoping to push for a top 4 spot, it's games against the Blackpools and the Wigans and Sunderlands we need to win.... that's where we've come unstuck in the past with stupid draws (and Beach balls :D).

If we were going to be title-contenders we'd be looking to have 10 - 12 points from our opening 5 games..... we're a top 6-club looking for a top-4 finish, so five points from three difficult away games, and a tricky opening day home games (+ Albion) isn't as bad as people make out.

We're 5 games into the season and 3 points of 4th spot...... hardly panic station yet.
