Thats a really good idea, maybe all charity shops should have foreign change collection box. Not sure if any do, my local one doesn't, but i will make the suggestion next time i'm in there

I take foreign money. Where is it from ? I know you want to give to charity but i collect foreign money and currently have some from about 15 or so countries. I will pay for postage. And can send pics of collection if needed.

I think you may find they have these donation boxes at airports, unless you went by ferry?

Travel Agents Thomas Cook have collection jars/boxes for unused currency on their (foreign exchange) counters - They donate all collected money to charity - The charity changes from time to time (year to year?) - The collection jar (or staff member) will tell you what the charity is if you ask (it's usually on the jars).

You live and learn, wasn't aware of this at all, good idea though, will certainly bear it in mind and tell others too.

I doubt if there is anything that interesting in there but will check and let you know what currencies are there and get back to you if I think you will be interested.
