I've had mine a few years now - top class. Got about 30,000 channels :)

Get yourself a kit off Ebay - about £200 for a motorised system

Ebay Item No: 250086997750

You want the Technomate 1500 CI+ Super reciever as you can easily patch this off the internet (this is the illegal bit) - thats like having a sky dish & every channel, but no subscription to pay ;)

Football sub last year (Art) was about £80 for the year, but they are not showing it on Art this season, so to get every game (inc Sat 3pm KO's), you will need a digitalALB card (see Ebay).

Currently, there are several channels "open" showing the footy, so no need to buy a card at the minute :)

ps - it is illegal to watch the footy as the cards are only intended for watching the footy in the countries stated (albania etc). It's not illegal to watch the FTA channels though - it's all a grey area, but it's not as if your doing anything bad now is it !!

Discussing illegal activity on the forum is not very clever, you run the risk of getting the site owners in to trouble.

It's only illegal if you patch your box to open up the channels, you can watch foreign FTA as you wish !!

Why have my resource links been edited out ?

Chris somtimes you know too much!
Don't suppose you're a member of astalavista.net?

On a note about the title: The licensing for watching subscribed services in a public house are different as this is considered to be distribution of the subscription. Therefore a Pub would be more liable than a private owner, plus they have more to loose. AKA their license.

astalavista.net? Nope - but I'll check it out !!

Yep - pubs were being cracked down upon for showing 3pm Sat football as it's not allowed in the UK.

There were a couple of raids on pubs by police and Trading Standards. Apparently, in this country pubs are not allowed to use foreign cards to access footie, even if card is legitimate and was purchased from official vendor.

As to private use, the situation supposed to be the same but if foreign cards will be banned then there is going to be a serious backlash by Asians, Arabs, Indians and (probably) Poles, as many of them would like to watch TV channels from their country of origin and satellite (not Sky!) is the only option.

As to links above:
SatelliteHelp is very friendly forum (a rarity on sat scene!) for beginners. Unfortunately it got a kind of "ask question, get an answer, move on, forget about this site" history. Many members sign up, ask 1 or 2 questions, getting their answers but then move to more technical forums.
Alsat is shop-owned forum. They are focusing on things they sell, but there is a concern (as with TM9100, for example) that support will die once they sold their allocation. Rules are somewhat strict but still quite relaxed compared to other forums. No questions such as "where to get XYZ cheaper?" allowed - it's a shop-owned forum, remember?
Satdownloads - another shop-owned forum, which is owned by Wizard Satellites. Pretty similar to Alsat but focused on different receivers. More friendly than Alsat too.
Sat-Industry - a very good "generic" satellite forum. Don't know much about it but there is a lots of information, so check it out.
Satellites.co.uk - quite technical forum on everything satellite.

Not satellite, but useful :)Astalavista - probably the oldest member of warez scene (at least 10 years or so). Often described as a "dark side of Internet". You can find there just about anything and probably lots of trojans/viruses if you're not careful. You've been warned!

SOrry a little off topic, but there is a difference between Astalavista.org or .com, compared to .NET

.NET is the legitimate members portal. Subscription necessary and illegal activity is not tolerated.

But if you're a member you'll know why this portal is a useful and powerful resource. :whistling:

PS. Don't bother looking for me as I exist in a different capacity :whistling:

Well... I am not a member (there are enough Russian-based forums with lots of clean stuff) on Astalavista, but sometimes I am visiting .com one :)

I am well aware of that, but why discuss an illegal activity at all on this Forum?

There is a risk of getting the site owners in to trouble, you wouldn't want that to happen, would you?
