I'm still wondering if there was any funny business right at the death.

Seemed like a fantastically close prediction by the McLaren pit crew!

Glock and Truli put in near identical times on the final lap having not put intermediates on like everyone else, so definitely nothing fishy, the rain started to come down right at the end and they both lost a lot of time.

No funny business at all at the end.

Trulli and Glock both posted near exact last lap times.

Its the simple fact that they were both on the wrong tyre.

Or was Trulli slowing to allow Kovalinen to get the mighty 7th place?

is that pic ferrari celebrating then realising they lost?

Yes - Ferrari assumed Hamilton would take sixth so when Massa crossed the line they started cheering and celebrating. As Hamilton finished fifth, the McLaren garage were then celebrating at the same time at which point the Ferrari people were told Massa hadn't won the championship.

Ha! Watched the whole thing - Glock is an old pal of Hamiltion they raced together before F1 - I think Hamiltion called in a favour with Glock - He made 13 seconds on the last lap with glock - thats near as damn inpossible even with the intermediate tyre vs dry tyres. Nice one Hamilton. Bring that Trophy back to good old GB.

Not at all, I don't understand why so many people think this - they pointed out in the commentary that the slicks will still provide grip on the wet if they're at temperature but once they drop the temperature the grip disappears completely therefore it was worth a shot right at the end of the race. Glock's lap with the tyres at temperature and a track becoming wet was ten seconds slower but by the time he did the last lap his tyres had cooled down and the track was damper, hence Glock was slower. You can see it in the car if you watch the footage, he takes two corners in the shot but despite the car going far slower than those around it the car is still squirming to get grip. A wet track, cold tyres and grooved tyres means very little grip which meant Glock actually did well to keep his car on the road.

Glock wasn't the only driver on slicks either, Fisichella had similarly gambled and his lap was actually slower than Glock's despite being nowhere near Hamilton.

The big falling down on your theory is that Kubica was also on slicks and flew past Hamilton and Vettel two laps from the end and was only caught 4 corners from the end after the slow 2nd sector. Admittedly Glock had his slicks on a long time but was 5 seconds behind at the end after just 2 sweeping corners.
In his interview he had the biggest smile on his face.
We'll never know if he did or did not slow down but think if he did he must have done it off his own back as the teat wouldn't have told him to do it over the radio as the FIA have records of the radio transmissions.

You just said it yourself, Kubica was going fast *two* laps from the end before his slicks ran out on him and they did catch up on him as well.

Slick tyres + wet conditions = no grip - simple as that or did Glock manage to accurately simulate his car having no grip? You can easily see it in the one clip of Glock taking the two corners that he has no grip whatsoever or are you going to laughably suggest that Glock accurately simulated a lack of grip to look convincing for the camera shot as well as arranging with Fisichella to go slow?

It's bad enough for Hamilton having a stadium of people boo-ing at him in Brazil never mind many people in the his home country believing he was gifted the championship.

he was given championship by glock period, anticlimax.
#18
Not at all, Glocks had done 35 laps on those dry tyres, they would have started to fade even if it was beautifully dry.

Trulli and Glock (Both Toyota) were the only two drivers not to pit for wets in the last 5 laps.

Guess what their last lap was?

Glock 1:44.7
Trulli 1:44.8

Glock went faster than Trulli, but still lost position.

Or did Trulli drive slow to let Kovaleinen get that all important 7th place?

Rubbish!!!!
your just a troll

all today on sky sports and the news they had people phoneing in saying they were dissapointed and they thought glock did give it to him, will come out one day, very ovious thou by watching it.
#21
You're right, it's obvious that Glock didn't give it to him as you can tell by the car squirming under power despite going at far lower speeds. Do you honestly believe slick tyres at low temperature give any sort of grip in the wet? If you ever see the cars pit early and change to slicks regardless of the racing series the cars look like they're on ice as they crab so badly.

Yea anyone that knows about F1 knows Glock was lucky to stay on track

i don't care Hamilton deserved this championship as he was robbed last year, was a great race and i thot we had it all the way until Hamilton dropped to sixth right at the end.everyone in britain i think were gutted when we thot he had lost it and then a miracle happened and i think that it was the best way to win the championship much better than winning it from start to finish.
