Found a Mobile phone this morning

while on my run. The guy who owns it lives in Southampton (I'm in Liverpool). He asked me to post it to him and he'll pay the postage. Should I trust him or would it be better to write "Addressee to pay postage" on the envelope?

I have decided not to keep it because it is a piece of junk:) (I wouldn't anyway :))

if it's piece of junk.,just write "Addressee to pay postage" on the envelope..,
#2
get him to send you a self addressed envelope
#3
Just send it to his nearest post office, For him to collect with adresser to pay postage, So then when he goes to collect it, He can get it until he pays the postage
#4
can u do that?: i mean just write addressee to pay postage? how is he intending on paying u if u were to pay postage?
#5
just trust him

what is it, maybe £2 to send a phone?
#6
I would pay the postage & send it Predi .. I think he will be grateful & keep his word .. Trust him it's Christmas ;-)
#7
Get him to send you paypal as a gift to your account before you send it, otherwise you might be taken for a ride, at the end of the day the phone is his so he should beable to send you a couple of quid for its return. If he doesn't have paypal he should send you a cheque.:x

Might do this. I have some stamps from Postal Research, so I wont really be out of pocket if he "forgets" to honour the deal.

Definately ask for a sae or postage up front so you can get a proof of posting chit, what if it gets "lost" in the post and he blames you? I know you are doing some one a good turn but he should be pleased to help out and make it easy for you.
