I have just spent 4 hours typing a statement for court which is urgent.
It was emailed to me and I opened the attachment and started adding bits to it and kept saving it by clicking the save icon. I didn't do a save as as thought this would be saving it.
I then closed the doc by clicking on the red cross.

Now I can't find it, have I lost it all? I have opened the attachment again and it just has the original.

In tears as we speak, please tell me it will still be there. I have also tried a search using the doc title as in the attachment but nothing?

Please help if you can!!!

obvo saved in a diff place

take it this was done in MS Word?

silly question maybe, but have you tried just opening word up

going to file and going to the very bottom to find what the last 4 things are you used?
have you looked in temporary files, it might not be called the same as what it was originally or open up word or whatever it was you were doing the doc in and go to File tab at the top and it will show the last docs you had open or if using windows click start button and on the right hand list it says "My recent documents"

Hope you find it :(

Go to my computer>local c drive> document and settings > the name of user> local settings > temp

hopefully it should be under temp let me know if it works.
OR ............. If you have Vista you can go to 'start' then look down the list for .. recent items
..can't remember how this was done with XP ?

type temp in the start search, you should get a back up in the temp folder
coolio

now save as......!!!!!!
