its all due to gbrown though - the 10p tax thing and the road tax - came on cue for the conservatives

Mind you, if this were a general, considering the countries up **** creek I don't think the loser would really care PMSL.

Thanks Shengis, beat me to it. I copied from my earlier post on here rather than from the source. Now changed in my post too.

How quickly people forget the good times and are taken in by 'shallow salesmen'. The main problem with modern democracy is that people tend to get the government they deserve. When the time eventually comes that Britain has a well-educated population - some way off yet - we will see truly progressive government in this part of the world. Scandinavia is perhaps the only area of the world that has managed to achieve this. We will get there, eventually. If Boris is declared the winner later today, as I suspect will happen, it suggests the wait might be some while... darn, and we were getting there too. Hopefully just a case of two steps forward, one step back.

i think ppl are just so against ken at the mo they're not fussy about the alternative. liek when the conservatives left in the 90's they just wanted a change

I agree. But they will regret it soon enough if Boris wins. The guy is a fool, so much so that his campaign team (who he has referred to as 'scary') have successfully gagged him in the last few weeks so that people forget that small but very significant fact. The problem is that there will be nobody to gag him if he's mayor. He becomes his own man then. Oh dear, things look bleak. :-(

4:40am - 196 going free.

more votes to be counted 2morro.

yah. i think that cud well be the case. he is a man who puts his foot in it often and for him not to so soon is a miracle.

what ken should've done is got a consensus on what should be the way forward with congestion charging rather than dictating it
