I don't know if this is any new as I am not AOL customer, but while queing at Carphone Warehouse (Greenford Branch) I have noticed a note about "Menager's special". It says that existing AOL customers can now get free laptop or ps3!
They also mentioned that BT customers can get it as well, I dont know what they meant by that.

Post if you know anything more.

And be nice I just wanted to inform you people :)

I would be very interested in this as I am on AOL and have been for about two years, so I could quite happily gicve them the old "well I'll just go to Tiscalli then shall I?" routine for a laugh.

Mike..

What did you have to say to them? Provide any card details etc?

[Edit] Ignore me, forgot that you're not with AOL, I'll give AOL a ring now, see what they say. :)

Not really, the laptop isn't at all good. My friends had one and I wasn't keen on it when I went instore.

And he obviously has a PC/Laptop already because he's online now.

There is a way to speak to the customer service people online, i did it before in the aol browser, i got a free wireless router and the cost down. I didnt even have to speak to anyone, just type it all out:p

So has anyone tried this then, my mate is on AOL, has been for ages, may pop over and get it try it.
#21
i know for new customers with aol they can get that deal, but it requires a 24 month contract

My friend did this a few weeks ago, as he's been on AOL for several years and told them he's moving unless they give him a PS3, which they also surprisingly included a copy of Ratchet and Clank and a Blu-Ray film.

As others have said, the worst they could do is say no but other people have done it, so I don't see why people can't try and until they agree to it.

Lol, but surely 5 quid per month for 24 months is one heck of a price for a brand new ps3?

If a shop offered you a PS3 as you walked through the door for 120 quid, but you only had to pay a fiver off each month and it is interest free, would you accept?

Oops just looked at your prices your actually only 3 and a half quid a month. Bargain!!
#24
I'm paying £9.99 a month now, so I doubt I can get this.
#25
2 years of more misery. No thanks.
#26
signed up for this last week as and existing customer. was told on thurs the ps3 would be here within 48 hours. guess what? no ps3 here
#27
It is legit because Carphonewarehouse have now taken over UK AOL Broadband and they want existing customers to receive something too.

When I went to enquire, I found out that I would need to pay more than what I already pay for the same package. With it being a 2 year contract, I would end up paying for the PS3 anyway through the extra charge.
