Free Microsoft Points

I received a message over xbox live from JDs Penguin.

The message said: yo need free points go to http://www.freemsp4********.********.com

I've starred out some of the address, curiousity got the better of me, so I went to the email address provided. On viewing it, it was an obvious phisher site. asking for your Gamertag, Country, Windows Live ID & Password.

Usually i would be more sensative with people's ID's but this prat (JDs Penguin) deserves what he gets.

NB: He's not on my friends list

Unfortunately this kind of thing happens quite often over Xbox Live. Microsoft really don't seem to be too bothered about it and so the best thing to do is report them through the Live automated complaint system. If you find them through your "recent players" list, then you can go to "feedback" and select one of the complaints from the list. The complaints are based on frequency and severity of complaints though, so a single report is unlikely to get them banned unless many others are doing it, too. Not only that, but I suspect that's not their primary account so it will be no big deal if they get banned.

You need to report the guy through the message you got. Go to view profile and then report.
They WILL look at the message he sent and take action, make sure you pick an option that makes them look at the message.
They DO go after scammers believe me.
On top of that you can also get in touch with stepto on twitter.
But reporting is a must as only this way his team will look at your complaint.

They can ban your HDD if your persistantly getting banned through many accounts meaning he/she would need a new xbox if they wanted to go live again

Microsoft just ban the console for code of conduct violations
