Just venting my frustration on here... If any of you are existing customers, you may have received special lunchtime offers, where you can buy reduced items with free next day delivery. Great offer so it seemed, but two days later, and I still haven't received my item. This was their automated response:
It would seem that due to the Christmas season and bad weather conditions, we’ve had an influx of emails and it has meant that we’re not able to resolve all our customers queries as quickly as we would normally like. We don’t want you to wait any longer, so we’ve included some information to help you with your query.
If you haven’t received your ASOS order yet, please check the expected delivery date on your Order Confirmation. If this date has lapsed, please allow 5 working days after your original date of delivery as our carrier partners are currently experiencing backlogs caused by the recent bad weather conditions.
We are really sorry that this has happened and we would like to reassure you that all our carrier partners are working very hard to clear the backlog as soon as possible by working additional hours. The situation is improving daily and we are hopeful that delivery timescales will be back to normal soon.
You may be able to track your order by clicking on the link in your despatch confirmation email or by logging into your ASOS account and viewing the relevant order history.
If your Order hasn’t arrived and it is 5 days past your expected delivery date, please reply to this email and we’ll do our best to sort it out for you.
If you have any further questions regarding deliveries, please visit the help and contact section.
Thanks for your patience during this time and all the best,
ASOS Customer Care
So basically, they are suggesting that several customers haven't received their items when stated.... How do they get away with promoting free next day delivery, which obviously encourages more people to purchase, if they know they are unlikely to honour it? Grrrr.... anyone else had any problems?
