Play this easy game on freerice.com
No sign up, registration or anything at all like that.

How to Play:
Click on the answer that best defines the word.
If you get it right, you get a harder word. If wrong, you get an easier word.
For each word you get right, we donate 20 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program.

Easy as that, free rice for those in the UN.
Even if you just spend 2 minutes on this site, do someone good today!

this site has been runnign for many years i think, coz i did 12k grains over a couple days of pure bordem like 6-7 months ago, i just did another 3k :) helping the poor for free is always good :D

I have moved this to misc, it's not really a freebie :)
#10
Good to see it listed again - I try to do it every day along with thehungersite.com.
It's a good little wake up for the brain...
#11
Why don't they just give them the rice?

I don't mean to sound uncharitable but it seems to be an unnecessary involvement of a third party. ie us

A bit like Tesco computer vouchers
#12
Sponsors pay for your donated rice.
#13
nice one - done
#14
i wonder where the rice goes to?
#15
why dont they just donate 1 billion or so grains and be done with it, and scrap this waste of time competition, i bet whoever spent the time making this stupid quiz, which is pointless, took a long time working it all out and making the website, so they probably paid him a fair amount in wages which could have just gone towards paying for more aid to be sent?

just seems stupid
#16
Not really, educating people and expanding vocabulary = money from the government maybe:?:

The company advertising at the bottom is paying say 2p every time you get the question right, which in turn buys 20 grains of rice. You seem to have missed the point that it’s you viewing a page with an advert on that’s paying for the rice. It’s not because some twisted smart a$$ thought it would be funny to tease and string out a big donation with this game.

Probably not to the people who need it most if the UN is involved.........
