I have just tried it with my new locked to orange g600 and it works fine on all networks.

1-Turn on the phone without sim card .
2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset)
3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu .
4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000#
6-Enjoy G600 unlocked

Not sure if I should have posted it here or in misc so feel free to move it if need be.

Nokia N95
1. With the Vodafone sim card inside the handset.
2. Key #pw+NUC+1#
(The p w and + symbols are found by keying the * key twice for the + symbol, three times for 'p' and four times for 'w').
3. The handset should then display "Sim restriction off"

Hi,

Does this only work with a vodafone sim or would any sim be fine? Also, do you know if this will work on the N95 8GB?

this was for a nokia N95 8Gb , not sure if it will work for other providers
#11
Shouldnt there be number where it states NUC ??? as there is no generic code for unlocking the n95 (unless this is a temp code)

Thanks a ton! Unlocked my new G600 from Orange! For others who wonder the need for Step 4 & 5 is for permanent unlock. I tried until step 3 and phone got unlocked, when I inserted a new sim card, it asked me for network unlock code... I had to follow step 1 - 3 again... do the 4 and 5 and get ur phone unlocked permanently!!

Any clue on Debranding? Cheers!

Got a G600 today and am following the unlocking instructions. After step 3 phone was unlocked but when turned off and on was locked again.

Retried steps 1, 2, and 3 and got to same place. No clue as to what an Sp-Lock is, so please can someone help me.

I typed the number into the phone as if I was dialling and followed steps 4 and 5. Now when phone is turned back on it's asking for SP Lock.

Any ideas on what a) I should do and b) have I killed the phone

I try this a number of times and it doesn't work for mine.

Just got this phone from Virgin. Done all the steps and when I put in a sim it ask for sp lock code.

Exactly the same for me, maybe it just doesn't work for Virgin?

#7465625*638*00000000# should sort the sp lock code after following the steps.

Only lets you type in 8 digits when it asks for the SP Lock code and no # or *
#24
Step 4 should've changed it to 0's ie 00000000

Really sorry, but what do you mean?

It does unlock the phone on Virgin following steps 1, 2 and 3 but when you turn it off it asks for the SP Lock code.

I'm now going to hang my head in shame for not understanding you

PS on second thoughts do you mean only use one lot of 8 0s in step 4?
#26
The sp lock code should be 00000000. Have you tried typing that in?

Just tried it and won't work.
#28
I have just try 00000000 and it was wrong code, I have 8 attempts left.

Maybe the phones from Virgin requires a different set of code. :(
I ask virgin and they want £15 to unlock even though I am a contract customer.
I'll wait in the months ahead to see if anyone comes up with something to unlock my one,
wont pay virgin, cost about £5 to unlock from the market.
#29
I can only suggest trying the procedure again from the start. Or leaving the phone switched on with whichever sim you want in it until you find another solution. It should be unlocked after step 3 until you switch it off.

This is what happens with my phone so I'll remember not to turn it off and if I do just go through the steps again.

Thanks for your help

Actually, check your splock status first(*#7465625#).if it says "splock active" you must deactivate it and start the procedure again. If it's active you can't get to the network lock deactivation.

Hope that sorts it out.

If not be aware that the code #*7337# will work for some phones but will reset the imei on others. Its a big risk and some people will actually charge you to find out if it works or not.
#32
*#7465625# - I tried this and it says active on splock. I dare not try #*7337# .

I'm on an 18m contract with virgin so will just continue as it is for now until I go abroad for
holiday that is when I need it unlock to use local sim. Thanks for your help jtx.

If the SP lock is still on after you have did the temporary unlock follow below-

add the codes below (don't power off)

reactivate network lock, *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#.

Deactivate the sp lock , *7465625*77*00000000*00000000#,

enter #7465625*77*00000000# (to disable the sp lock).

Then disable the network lock #7465625*638*00000000# and
the phone is finally unlocked permanently

Thanks Grabbit all unlocked now!

I have saved these instructions from you guys if ever I need it for another one of these phone :)
#35
Thanks so much everyone, mine is unlocked as well now. Even better because I'd done the unlocking so many times it wasn't accepting the original Virgin SIM either.

That will teach me for doing things I don't really understand.

I've never known that to happen. You could always remove the battery, recharge it and try again:thumbsup:
