Freebies at beauty counters?...

Just wondered if anyone does the same as me and asks if the beauty counter has any samples of products you're thinking about buying?
A couple of weeks ago I went to a Clinique counter and asked if they had a sample of a moisturiser I was thinking about buying. The assistant gave me one of the large 'luxury' sized samples and told me that the full size costs £35. Result! I also had a selection of free samples from Estee Lauder a while ago when I went back in to tell them that my free gift thingy had lacked one of the items..
Anyone else got any amazing freebies this way?...

I ALWAYS do that! Just don't go to the same counter more than once!
I had a silly game with another person to see who could get the most free stuff in a shopping trip! It was surprising how much freebies are on offer!:-D

Yeh Clinique give you samples of liquid foundation so you can go away and try it.

Maybe I'll try that one next time coz the foundation I'm wearing is in a bottle I don't like (Estee Lauder Double Wear - foundation good but difficult to get out of the bottle!)

o/t like, but I have the same problem with foundation, Boots range 17 have a shad now called extra fair, it's the only foundation which doesn't make me go orange.

back on topic, I will deffinetly have to try and be cheeky and ask for freebies

my ex used to work on the counter at Alders when it exisited, all the staff used to take a quota of those tester bottles etc so i got full sized bottles of armarni and clinque stuff for free whenever she worked, was ace. They had draws full behind the counter so i spose it makes sense for them to give them out free, pretty good i reckon, better than those postcard things...
