Hi,

i bought a freesat hd box for upstairs. we already have sky hd downstairs. our sat dish has quad wire outputs and theres 2 left to use.

where is the cheapest installtion for adding a extra 2 wires for upstairs> if i but the wires myself is installation cheaper? its just the matter of drilling a couple of holes right? please advise.

thanks,

Standard 75ohm Sat Cable
F Connectors
Cable Clips
Sturdy Ladder
Drill with Long Bit

That's it really.

yep that the 1 i got on sky+

Only one cable required for standard Freesat receiver.

Self amalgamating tape should be used on external connection to Dish LNB to avoid water ingress.

Best buy is to stop on the street where you see a sky installer van (can't miss them with fancy paint jobs)
Offer to buy anything from a dish/lnb to a remote control including sky box and viewing card (probably not a sky+ box though)
They will almost certainly sell you cable and connectors at a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere.
My tame installer even comes to the house with stuff - I got his mobile number when he was here doing a job

You meaning an LNB or an actual Adaptor that will take the feed from LNB and split it?

If it's the latter, you'll only be able to watch channels on the same polarity on a seperate box (and it's not a solution for Sky+ or HD where you only have one feed either).
