I'm watching Kill It, Cook It, Eat It on iPlayer at the moment, and it's the episode about killing, preparing, cooking and eating cute wee bunny rabbits.
Anyway, it's giving me a thought. There's loads of rabbits around where I work. Perhaps some evening after work, I could catch one, take it home, and have myself a tasty fresh rabbit dinner. Perhaps with some chips on the side.
Thing is, I've never tried rabbit before, and I feel bad about killing most things. I've no problem dealing with supermarket meats, but then, that's no more an animal than a banana is. Last time I touched a real dead animal was a little mouse that I pulled from a water tray under a fridge at work, which I found so horrible that I was nearly sick. So although I like the idea of tasty fresh meat, I'm unsure if I could do it.
Has anyone here ever killed their own dinner? How did you feel? And was the meat nice enough to make it worth it?
