Got one back saying they're having their dog put down tonight....

way to make me feel crap for moaning about nothing!

ever put your foot in it?

Last week on my first day at my new job we were talking x-factor. I started talking ditzy, imitating the way Stacey spoke, only to find the woman opposite me speaks in EXACTLY the same way...sh&%. lol.

Whats the worst thing you've said/ done to put your foot in it?

was cleaning upstairs one day and heard a knock at the door,so went to window and there was a young couple standing there and they started going on about what i thought about paedos etc,so i rambled on about paedos then said "hang on i will come down now didnt want to come to door incase u were jehovas"
she said we are actually were not that bad are we? i felt awful about it and couldnt believe what i had said

Just to add.. If you are considering requesting the dog (waste not, want not and all that), ensure that it was free range and not one of those mangy 'caged' variety that a lot of people keep in their back gardens:lol:

my husband once said to a freind in the pub "god i hate that miserable cow over there" the freind agreed with him adding "shame she's my sister " ooooopppppppppssssssssss

I remember 2 things I have done that spring to mind.

Firstly

At a works informal Crimbo get together in the local pub when I was younger we were talking about ugly people.

We had to dwindle it down to the ugliest person we knew and could all identify with. I chose and rather pushed forward the woman from the local newsagents. I didn't just say it, I went on to say how she wasn't just dipped in the ugly pond, she had her head held under.

We were all laughing and just at that point a girl who didn't work with us but was friends with one of my colleagues turned round and said ' thats my mum '.

Still laughing and awaiting her to say 'not really', my mate who she was with gave me that look. I can't explain how bad I felt and I still cringe when I think about it now.

Secondly

My hubby I and the kids were queuing up at a kiosk in the park to get the kids some ice creams. It was a really hot day and I was trying to pacify the kids while we were in the queue. Hubby stayed in the queue and I took the kids off to the side and sat on the grass.

My hubby then shouted across ' what was it you wanted '. Without any hesitation at all I replied 'a 69 please ', much to the amusement of all the other parents in the queue. I just wanted the ground to swallow me up.

We got our ice creams and I told the kids I knew a better park further down the road lol:whistling:

had similar happen to me a few years back, was babysitting for a friend at her house, she can home with many friend and we all sat in her front room chatting, one bloke starting talking bout another friend of theirs, saying some not so nice stuff, my friend kept trying to change the subject but he wasnt having none of it......he was talking bout my brother ;-) .... he was quite embarrassed but i laughed it off, after all in most accounts he was right :w00t:
