Can anyone honestly name one out there that doesnt taste like your eating pepperoni on toasted polystyrene with plastic cheese?

Nope....make my own

some kill you slower than others so that may count as a good thing

I am of the same opinion of you but I was surprised by the quality of, I think it's Goodfellas, where the pizza appears to be on uncooked dough and therefore rises in the oven. Tastes a little like fresh.

Although I have now discovered how cheap raw pizza bases are, get some passata and then smother with cheese and other toppings.

NO! They're all rotten - the nearest thing to a real one are the Pizza Express ones.... make your own...so much tastier and cheaper

Sainsbury's used to do an Italian stonebaked frozen pizza that was almost as good as the real thing. Best pizza i have ever had was actually at a railway station though.

make your own.......when I have the kids over we make alls sorts of concoctions and they taste incredible, make my own tomato sauce base using a bit of chilli and lots of sundried/fresh tomatoes and basil

although I still don't thing a big breakfast pizza will take off lol but my nephew loves it

Yup Goodfellas La Bottegga or whatever its called ftw.
On a side note. That restaurant in Sheffield, Runaway Girl used to be our regular haunt before we went to The Leadmill. We didn't even know it was a restaurant! Thought it was a swanky cocktail bar.

how do you make dough? I tried once and it was crumbly and greasy... tasted like flour and cooked like a biscuit.
#28
Goodfella's used to be good a few years ago but they seemed to change their sauce and they weren't as good after that. But probably still the best frozen.

I use Jamie's recipe

http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pasta-and-pizza/pizza-dough

if you're gonna freeze some make sure you knock the air out of it or you'll get ice crystals and a soggy texture when defrosted

I used ziplock bags too

ps cook in a hot oven....doesn't take long

Thanks for that! Good old Jamie, use his roast potato recipe.

I just posted 'La Bottega' pizzas which are made by goodfella's. Half price in Tescos. The base on these pizzas is much better than average. the crusts are even tasty because they are ciabatta. £1.39 unti 10FEB08

Goodfella's/Chicago Town are the best UK forzen pizzas. There are quite a few good ones in the US, Tombstone and Red Barron come to mind...

Frozen pizzas are better if they have been stored correctly (that is not defrosted/refrozen) and not stored for a very long time.

Chicago town takeaway pepperoni pile up with tomato sauce stuffed crust.

The most amazing pizza you can buy from a supermarket.

always will be Dr O's, nothing else comes close!
