Could you please post a picture of the item for sale along with a note showing your username?

Stick a thread up in Misc if you've had a problem trade and people will see if they can help.

its ok you can go to the police with his/her name address & phone number, which I presume you got and checked out before buying
#19
in a fair world but then there are rules and guide lines, is why you newbiees get a bit of a hard time and have to send first ect :)
#20

it wouldnt get that fair i bet anyways, even if it did, costs would be covered from his side...as long as you win.

was just gonna post same thing myself!

you'd think getting scammed once would make you more wary
#30
who was the username?
#31
good for u!
#32
Did you get the sellers contact details? Did you even see a picture of the item with his username? If you've been scammed before then surely you would have?
There comes a point when if you can't help yourself then you can't expect others to help you!

you could send a brick or stones in the post by special delivery and the buyer wouldn't have much come back if it's signed for.
#34
omg is this for real????? after being scammed once you got scammed again??? hmmm......

serious question then for all of you who have been here some time nd have feedback-I am new here-fairly active and enjoy reading the deals-a coupla weeks ago me and my m8 did some joinery work for a guy opening a music shop and since he was short of cash he paid us in ipods from his shop stock.

m8 sold his at car boot for about 70 percent of their value-I was considering offering the ones I have on here but threads like this are what concern me. so if I was to offer stuff at a certain price can I refuse to deal with anyone I just dont get a "trust" vibe from? or do I HAVE to sell to the first person who offers the asking price?

am I allowed to choose who to sell to dependent on feedback if more than one person makes the asking offer? I have,on principle,no problem with mailing first but how much feedback is enough to agree to do that. 10?30?100?

I realise that in order to get feedback myself here at some point I am gonna have to trust someone but its very worrying when I read threads like this and the ones linked here.

would like to hear the views of those with and without feedback.

sorry there should have been a question mark at the end of that statement, as in I was genuinely interested to knw who it happened a second time, rather than having a dig at you!

i think its more of an issue here with the buying of an item, the more times things like this happen the more wary people will become of buying from here. sellers like yourself so long as payment is recieved first in my opinion are at less risk of loss. also if buyer pay via paypal at least they are covered - provided its not paypal gift-for some of their cash. my opinion is that if its a large amount of cash i wont buy from someone with no feedback unless they will send first.
