lloydstsb is my main account..have only had a couple small probs in 20 years-and they gave me £100 which was nice..
also i have had two occasions to ask them to pull back a dd and a card payment and they have done both without incidence.

online is excellent imo and you can set up texts and things i havent tried.

must admit ive had nothing but hassle from santander after having 20+ trouble free years with alliance and leicester.

the biggest boob they made was paying 52k towards our morgage and we spent the whole day trying to get them to take it back, when they did we obviously went overdrawn and they charged us for going overdrawn, the latest episode was waiting for new cards to arrive and being lied to by at least 5 members off staff that cards had been sent found out after 4 weeks actually no cards had been sent.

Duno bout info from texts but could ask.

Heard the online banking was poor at first but I've had no problems with it, I think they have updated it since. They have recently merged with britannia too. I have found the call centre staff to be helpful as well, something abbey / santander were crap at, but dont get me started on them, I cannot believe they are still in business

+1 Never had any problems with A&L, Santander took 9 months to close my account with me having to make 5 visits to a branch for a internet account closure!

Now we're talking! I want an iPhone app, can you make transfers thru the app?

all banks are corrupt.
#12
For online banking you can't beat First Direct, but even if you encounter any problems their custoner service dept is IK based and is personal not automated.

Smile part of the CO OP bank.

Does anybody know which banks offer Android apps? I know Halifax and HSBC do, any others people know of?
#17
I am ith Natwest, no problems for th past 7 years.
Very easy to use the online banking, I prefer it to the Lloyds lay out. Plus the iphone app is pretty handy to just check your balance and latest transactions.

Llyods TSB

I moved from Lloyds TSB to Natwest and no problems, Iphone app is so simple to use and very handy

Best bank has to be Barclays, never once had a problem. Everytime you walk in, they make you feel welcome like they care that you are a customer. Moved from Abbey as they were the worst bank to deal with and the staff are incompetent and look forced to work.

Oh yes. It's classed as a payment in the app. Have a look at the App Store
