I know before people start having a go at me and say "Credit Card Fraud isn't funny/a laughing matter" I do know!
I follow all the guidelines/hints and tips on how to avoid it all, so was a bit purplexed to see how I had the following on my account:
£1 payment to Napster (which I have never used)
£248 payment to a catalogue company (forgotten the name, but I have never used them!)
£1 payment to Napster (again, never used them - but I'm now thinking this is a payment to authorise the account etc)
and then the killer....
£10 donation to Christian Aid!!! :-D
And again, before anyone gets into any kind of religion issue or say how dare I cancel a donation etc, when I rang my credit card company up to tell them about this, they had said that this was a known problem with something like Napster and Christian Aid payments - it may not be the "correct" accounts that get the money etc.
But even so, what kind of person would nick credit card details and have the whole world to buy, but instead, make a donation to charity?! :giggle:
