Are there any Wii games apart from Brawl and Kart that are worth looking forward to?

No More Heroes is a cool action game that really makes good, inventive use of the wii controls, also Bully's a decent game if you didn't bother with the PS2 version (Canis Canem Edit). If you like strategy games, Fire Emblem is also on its way, although it doesn't play much differently from its GC prequel and makes no use of the Wii controls. Batallion Wars II was also just released, although that's more action than strategy from what I've played. There's also Okami (an adventure game not dissimilar to Zelda) due at the end of the month (apparently) - again, this was already released on the PS2 but it looks like the controls are really suited to the Wii, and this is one I'm really looking forward to. Finally, there's also a Tales of game (RPG) being made for the Wii, but it could be a while before that's out.

Really, it depends what games you like playing. I have a Wii and an Xbox 360, and wouldn't part with either. X) What released games have you already tried? Have you thought about picking up some GC games for it, because there's certainly plenty of decent games that were released for it, if you don't mind not using the wii controls. =)

thanks for the list. Okami looks a good buy.

Its a real shame that many third party companies arent making the most of the controls.

I have played paper mario, zelda, RE4, galaxy, metroid. Not really into all the party games that seem to be coming out by the bucket load. I always check review of games and by a rule of thumb by AAA titles only. I also have a 360 and spend more time on that than the wii.

By the time Brawl and Kart are out it would seem Nintendo has already released the big guns (bar mario tennis and golf - dont interest me). Therefore the future seems barren to me unless third party support gets its act together and comes up original games like zack and wiki and not re-releases of PS2 games.

There are rumours of another zelda game in the works as twilight was a gamecube game which they then adapted for the wii. But knowing nintendo's track record we may have to wait another 2 years. :x

There is a LOT of shovelware on the Wii, that's very true. As things stand though, it's very hard to predict what developers are going to do. No More Heroes is a traditional gamers game, but it sold very poorly in Japan compared to the 'non' games like Wii Fit and Wii Play that are flying off the shelves. On the other hand, it's selling quite well in America, so who knows?
