Agree, the show has gone downhill, but what hasn't really? Product placement is all the rage and they need to pay the bills so vote with your remote.
Most programmes are staged, its entertainment!

Dont get me wrong, i dont mind if its staged on real facts/outcomes, but like tonight when they were racing, so ovious they slow down for one another, what are we fools.
What and you wanted it to be a proper race? So you could buy the 'fastest' one? All of those things were pointless

I think your missing the point, read it again but this time slowly, where did i say i wanted to buy it, that was a example anyway, i just want what we watch to be real results and not made up, and some people might have been wanting to buy on the outcome of the staged race, as there results are always on there outcomes of the tests, so if something comes out on top they give it the highest score, even if test was staged, do you get that now ?
How will it ever be fair? They are two different people, different sex, different age, different fitness levels, different skill sets, using very different products. It's pointless but meant to be entertaining.

I can try in laymans terms (not trying to be rude, just simplicity is always better) but not sure if it's gonna get through to our friend.
What I and maybe daytrader is saying is that it can be done on a more level playing field , we all know that it will take too much time and effort to get a perfect comparison.
My initial point was that they should do it off stage with this 'leveling' in mind and then put on the presenters to flaff about.

removed from weekly timer now as bores me even when skipping the crap (last nights episode took me 10 minutes to watch!).

Mine cancelled itself after 26mins, perhaps telling me somthing........
Gadget Show does get on my nerves when they do a technical challenge and seem to intentionally make Suzi Perry win when she seems to know very little about the subject.
