just caught a bit on finance news- no link yet

looking bad for game - should have guessed anyway the price reductions they have

i personally would hold off ordering

burial could be in a few days

well it was to be expected, GAME are not very good, in my ever so humble opinion:)


i agree they are very expensive and give you next to nothing on trade-ins x x :thumbsup:

Game said it expected group profit before non-recurring costs and tax for the 53 weeks to 31 January to be "not less than £122m", slightly ahead of market expectations.


I'm no expert, but 122 million pounds PROFIT sounds ok to me :)

They were in a precarious position in early 2006 and laid off a lot of staff including plenty at head office IIRC...

Last I'd heard was that they were doing well financially :?

They own "Gameplay" Blockbuster used to own Gamestation and I think you are right Game bought it from BB

Means with more stores opening and always increasing output costs, if profits are likely to go up then they will need to close stores etc

Actually that links says Game expect it tough this year but still plan on opening 70 NEW Stores, no mention of any problems!!
