Gameboy

I recently purchased a gameboy advance sp from game (pre owned, good deals if you can find one in good condition and they aren't at all advertised, you have to ask) but I got home played for a while and everything was good. Then I decided to charge it and realised they had given me a US charger. Should I bring back just the charger to be replaced or do I need to bring back the gameboy advance sp because of voltage and region coding? I ask since it is like new mine and don't want to replace with one in worse condition.

don't know, how can you tell? Does it make a difference?

i would imagine that if you used a uk charger on it from a uk power supply it might damage it. there should be a number on the back like gb 001 or something. google it and find out

Nah they're all the same, i've got an HK import SP with a UK charger.

To the OP.. As long as the charger says 110-230v (or similar) on it you can just get an adapter. I'd definitely ring them ask for a proper charger though.

I heard it's actually illegal to provide an electronic item without the correct plug / supply (unless otherwise stated, I guess)

I don't know how 'true' this is, but it came from a reliable source a couple of years ago!

Go back and tell them their mistake. Unless they can prove they sold you a US/whatever Gameboy they should just provide you an adapter free of charge.
